Sheerluck Holmes

Set within the framework of late Victorian England, this musical is a hilariously extravagant send-up on the great detective and the ever-bumbling Watson! With such characters as Greasy Pierre (the French butler), Colonel Horatio Bagshot, Virginia Huntingdon-Smythe and many, many policemen, you’ll love the foggy, dark humour of this murder mystery. The music has a very appropriate ensemble jazz feel, too.
Who done it? Why, it’s elementary?

We are currently performing Sheerluck Holmes. (November 2011) It is going really well. Hilarious in fact, especially the bedroom scene. This is definitely up there in the top 5. The audiences are responding exceptionally well!

We had a great time last term preforming Sheerluck Holmes. The kids and audience really enjoyed it.

We have just done Sheerluck Holmes at our school as the years production. I was so pleased to be part of it as it was a wonderful musical.

The matinee went very well yesterday – we had about four hundred in the audience. The kids had a ball and the audience was clapping along to “How do you do it, Holmes”. Duge was fantastic as Holmes (it is such a huge part) – a fitting farewell to five years of musicals for him. And Kimberly, who is only in year 10, was luminous as Virginia despite her nerves. We are hoping that some of the original cast from ’89 will be in the audience on Saturday night and will meet with the cast afterwards which should be fun.
