Description

Dermot, an Irishman living abroad, takes his father’s body back to Ireland for burial in the family plot. It’s the right thing to do, or so he thinks until he arrives back in Ireland to be ‘welcomed’ back into the bosom of his family. Family members disagree about the final resting place of the body but unite against their long-standing enemy, the Milligans. The play climaxes with a huge brawl between the Devlins and the Milligans while the gentle youngest Devlin son sings of the joys of being Irish and Dermot discovers how Irish he still is…..
