Oh Rats!

Oh Rats! is a musical adaptation of Robert Browning’s much-loved poem, ‘The Pied Piper of Hamelin’. It is through-composed (no spoken words) and is similar in format to Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in that it makes use of many different musical styles; in this case from rapping to the Charleston! Although essentially an exciting and light-hearted show, it nevertheless does contain reflective and poignant moments, and its message of morality and hope is clear.

It was first produced with a cast of 254 and is ideal for companies wanting to incorporate large numbers in the chorus making this show a firm favourite with schools and amateur groups. It’s fun, funny and fast-moving.

The show can be staged with any number of singers, dancers or actors, either as a full theatrical extravaganza or alternatively as a concert. Imposed limitations have deliberately been kept to a minimum; quite simply – it will work in any setting.

    Australia/New Zealand Production Fees: Coin Donation/No Tickets: $80 per performance; Ticket Sales: 12% of gross ticket sales

    Other Countries Production Fees: $80 per performance

    Performance royalties are at the rate of 12% of gross ticket sales and gross takings should be declared within 21 days of the last performance to Maverick Musicals and Plays

    Flat Fee License Agreement

    1. We agree to payment of performance royalties at the rate of $80 per performance for the above production.
    2. We understand I have been/will be charged for the above number of performances
    3. We will ensure that the authors' names are credited on all posters and programs.
    4. We will ensure that the endorsement "Produced with the permission of Maverick Musicals and Plays www.maverickmusicals.com" is also displayed.

    Flat Fee License Agreement

    1. We agree to payment of performance royalties at the rate of $80 per performance for the above production.
    2. We understand I have been/will be charged for the above number of performances

    Percentage Performance License Agreement

    1. We agree to payment of performance royalties at the rate of 12% of gross ticket sales for the above production.
    2. We agree to declare our gross takings within 21 days of the last performance to Maverick Musicals and Plays, by using the form available to download from maverickmusicals.com
    3. We understand we will be invoiced based on our declaration and that the amount is payable immediately
    4. We will ensure that the authors' names are credited on all posters and programs.
    5. We will ensure that the endorsement "Produced with the permission of Maverick Musicals and Plays www.maverickmusicals.com" is also displayed.
