The Man has been put in his box – literally. The Woman locked him there during the last festive season. She promised to review the situation in a year’s time. Now it’s Boxing Day, 12 months on. With the harsh Australian sun beating down, and temperatures at boiling point, what will happen next?

There’s great flexibility in casting – the characters could really be any age. Boxing Day is also a great property for touring; one could fit the director, cast, set and properties all in the same car.

There are fascinating choices to be made within your production – play up the many laughs, or focus more on the darker elements? Adopt a naturalistic acting style or, given the scenario, a more stylised presentation?
