The purchase of a single script infers no Copying or Performance rights. (Scripts and music can’t be copied for readings, auditions or rehearsals without purchasing the Copying Fee.) The fee gives you the right to copy the script, musical scores and CD’s that you have purchased as many times as you need for these occasions.

To stage a performance, you will require a License from Maverick Musicals, and agree to the License conditions before you can perform your show.  Copying Fees (for rehearsal materials) and a Performance License must be obtained before your production can take place.

Directing this play for the South East QLD Theatre Festival Circuit was an absolutely amazing experience. I chose this play as I had 3 grade 12 students ready for a challenge! All 3 players took the challenge and ran with it, winning an amazing 17 awards across 5 festivals. The script provided a beautiful balance of drama and comedy which allowed the actors to showcase their immense talent. The simple setting makes it the perfect festival choice, but does create directorial challenges as it is a very static play. I had to be very aware at all times to not have any unnecessary movement and to use the lovely naturalistic dialogue to drive the play. I would highly recommend this play to anyone wanting to a festival play for young actors ready for a challenge. During the festival circuit we received some fantastic feedback from adjudicators and audiences. Michelle Allan, Director
