Actor, Vocalist, and Voice-over Artist can now add Playwright to her resume with the publishing of her first play “Golf Marriage and Other Murderous Matters”. Debra moved to Brisbane from the Bay of Islands in New Zealand at the tender age of 3. Her love of all things theatre began when she was cast in the lead female role of a highschool production of HMS Pinafore. But it was when she was cast in her first comedic role, a number of years later, that a new love developed. “I love comedies; especially farce. I think what motivates me is that wonderfully addictive sound of a laughing audience. How does it get any better than that?” Debra’s stage credits include: “Coralie Landsdown Says No”, “Jakes Women”, “Rumors”, “The Odd Couple” (The Female Version) and “Steel Magnolias” for the Brisbane Arts Theatre. Soon to be followed by “5 Women Wearing the Same Dress”, “The Women”, “Funny Money”, “Its Runs in the Family”, and “Dearly Departed” with Mixed Company along with “California Suite” and “Love Letters” for Front Row Theatre.
