Cynthia Medley England received awards from ASCAP for two children’s musicals she wrote “Hansel and Gretel” and “Happy Birthday Princess.” “Hansel and Gretel” was performed in an off-Broadway children’s theater in New York in the 1970’s. “Happy Birthday Princess” had its premiere in the Chidlren’s Youth Theater on Sanibel Island, FL, and later was performed by the Southwest Florida Children’s Theater in Naples, FL. Both were in the 1980’s and 90’s. Cynthia also has written several recorded song lyrics and is a free-lance writer for national and local publications.
